Mehmet Salih Sarıkaya, who entered the construction industry as a subcontractor in 1995, shifted to tilework in 1999. İbrahim Sarıkaya, who started working in construction at the age of 11 alongside his brother Mehmet Salih Sarıkaya, had to take charge at a very young age after his brother’s sudden passing in 2011. Ceasing their commercial activities in Istanbul, İbrahim Sarıkaya moved to İzmir and began rebuilding his life with his brother Yunus Sarıkaya. Beginning almost from scratch due to heavy debts, the two young brothers founded İbrahim Sarıkaya Group Inc. in 2012. Stating that they follow the life motto of "Not teaching how to fish, but fishing," which was taught by their late brother—meaning, "We caught our own fish, cooked it ourselves, but shared our bread with everyone,” İbrahim Sarıkaya said.

Expressing that being young in 2012 was both an advantage and a disadvantage, İbrahim Sarıkaya said, “When we went for business, they asked how old we were. As we grew our business, they then said, ‘Now you’ve opened the way for young people.’” Since 2012, İbrahim Sarıkaya Group Inc. has realized 9 projects. Most recently, it attracted attention with the completed Yaşam Evleri project in Menemen. Highlighting that both quality materials and qualified human resources are very important, İbrahim Sarıkaya said, “The right location, the right land, the right project, the right sales, and the right customer… When you do these, quality comes along. We work with correct and skilled people—architects, construction engineers, masters, and apprentices. We have never been an office contractor. We haven’t walked around the construction site in a white shirt. We are always on the site with our work clothes and helmets, aware that we must know everything from how painting is done to how a geological engineer's report is prepared. Since we are young, our energy is very high. We want to grow with confident steps. We still have a long way to go. With our equity and love for our profession, we will continue to grow in this sector, which is our only business,” he stated.

İbrahim Sarıkaya, Chairman of the Board of İbrahim Sarıkaya Group Inc., which stated they launched their first projects in Çiğli, shared information about the company’s past constructions and the Yaşam Evleri project completed in Menemen: “Besides Çiğli, we have signed urban transformation projects in Bostanlı, Karşıyaka. Going forward, we decided to stop urban transformation and joint ventures, and focus on constructing on lands we purchased with our own equity. In this context, we completed the Yaşam Evleri project in Menemen. We finished this project with our own equity amidst an economic crisis.
